Representation in civil proceedings
Representation in civil proceedings shall be a common role of an attorney. Essentially, representation of clients in civil proceedings and representation of clients in criminal proceedings may be distinguished. In civil proceedings, attorney shall represent the rights of a client (plaintiff) against counterparty (defendant). These are the rights commonly resulting from relationships established in civil law, commercial law and labour law. By representation in criminal proceedings, it shall be the execution of a constitutional right for defence of the accused or it may be a representation of a harmed or injured party in the criminal proceedings.
